Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

Representatives of Raconteur Adventure welcomes you at Tribhuvan International Airport. We will guide you through the cultural shock you encounter once coming outside of the airport. Then, we will assist you through check-in formalities in one of the star category hotels in Kathmandu. If you arrive early at the capital, you should engage in sightseeing of different religious, cultural even natural facets of Kathmandu.

Day 02

Ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 Km)

On this second day of the itinerary, we will ride to Pokhara. This whole bike ride will be done on Himalayan 500cc, Royal Enfield. After having a delicious breakfast in Kathmandu, we will start our ride to Pokhara. Pokhara is happening city and the entry point for conquering the Annapurna mountains. Ride to Pokhara is all satisfying. The freedom of bike ride also serves a clear view of landscapes, culture, flora, fauna, and many more. Overnight at a star hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03

Ride from Kathmandu to Kalopani (125 km)

We will start the day early. We are passing through the longest suspension bridge of Nepal at Kusma, and we will reach Kalopani riding through a rough and paved road. A bumpy ride commences from Beni. A breathtaking view of the Himalayas in the background accompanies your ride. Bank of the Gandaki river accompanies the ride with a mind-boggling view of waterfalls. Overnight at Guesthouse at Kalopani.

Day 04

Ride Kalopani to Muktinath and back to Kagbeni(65km)

We will start our day with a delicious breakfast at Kalopani. We will ride along the Kali Gandaki river amazing scenery of Annapurna Mountain unfolds. Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri are other mountains for your most entire satisfaction. Today, we travel to one of the holiest sites for Hindu, the Muktinath temple. Temple is at an altitude of 3800m. For a non-Hindu tourist, pagoda-style temples, monasteries, natural taps, huge barren landscapes are there to reward you with the most fulfilling experience. Another fascination not to miss is continuous burning fire from natural gas and the 108 sacred water taps. After visiting Muktinath, we will ride back to Kagbeni. Overnight at the guest house in Kagbeni.

Day 05

Ride Kagbeni to Ghami(07 hours)

On our day five of the itinerary, we will explore this fantastic typical village, Kagbeni. At the checkpoint, the necessary permits will be checked, and then our ride continues. We will ride to the town of Upper Mustang. We will pass through rocky trails observing the traditional Tibet culture through Chhunsang(2,950m), Chele, and Syanbochen. We will stay overnight at Ghami. On Ghami, we will watch and capture impressive clusters of the ancient cave with magical rock face across the river, Kali Gandaki.

Day 06

Ride from Ghami to Lo-Monthang (06 Hours)

Day 06 is the most important day of the trek as we will reach the journey’s primary destination. On our way to Lo-Monthang from Ghami, we will see the natural masterfulness. The panoramic view of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri with the longest mani wall of Ghami in this ride is all amazing. The lift passes through Tsarang village, and from the town, we will ride up to Ghar Gumba. Ghar Gumba is one of the oldest monasteries (8th century)

Day 07

Excursion of Lo-Monthang(3840m) on foot

Lo-Monthang unfolds with amazing barren landscapes in the hills and the base, and greenery is all satisfying. During the excursion of Lo-Monthang, you will see the oldest monasteries and Gumbas, engage in sightseeing of impressive colourful land structures. One of the sites to look for is the Chosar cave. Day 08

Ride to Kora La (Tibetan Border) From Lo-Monthang and back.

On this day, eighth, we will travel to the Tibetan border, Kora La. This ride is just 20km from Lo-monthang. We will enjoy the views that Kora La offers, engage in sightseeing, photography and then ride back to Lo-Monthang. Overnight at the guest house in Lo-Monthang.

Day 09

Ride back to Gilling

We will ride back to Gilling from Lo-Monthang. Ride to Gilling is accompanied by the view of plateau land and Himalayan panorama during the daylight. Overnight at Guesthouse at Gilling.

Ride back to Kagbeni

We will continue our ride back to Kagbeni. Upon reaching Kagbeni, we will explore Kagbeni and its different facets. Overnight stay at the guest house in Kagbeni.

Ride back to Tatopani

The ride continues to reach Tatopani from Kagbeni. We will ride via Jomsom, Marpha, to get Tatopani. We will also bath at a natural hot spring that is believed to cure skin related diseases. Overnight at guesthouse/lodge at Tatopani.

Ride back to Pokhara

We will ride back to Pokhara on day 12 of our itinerary. Pokhara has a lot in its bag. From sightseeing of natural and human-made beauty to fantastic nightlife, there are many things that Pokhara delivers right. Overnight at star category hotel in Pokhara.

Day 13

Ride back to Kathmandu

We ride back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Day 13 is the last day of this fantastic ride. We will leave Pokhara after having a late breakfast Pokhara. We will return to Kathmandu via Mugling. After you arrive at Kathmandu, hotel check-in and the rest of the time is all yours.

The Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour is for adventure seekers who are physically strong and have a good understanding of motorcycle riding.
Following Beni Bazar, the route becomes fully off-road, and you will ascend to a height of 4000 meters.

What kind of lodging can I expect in Kathmandu and during the trip?

Kathmandu has a wide range of hotels, from inexpensive to luxury, including three-star accommodations.

Normally, our outline plan includes three hotel services from RACONTUER ADVENTURE
We can also make accommodations based on your preferences.

During your journey, you will stay at a teahouse/lodge that will give you with minimal hygienic facilities such as a mattress and a light blanket.
If needed, we may provide RACONTEUR ADVENTURE sleeping luggage (which must be returned after the trip), although it is usually preferable to have your own sleeping bag.

We generally have single and double rooms available.

Single accommodations are difficult to come by during high season, thus double rooms are advised in our basic itinerary.

How are the shower facilities in Mustang during the summer?

In most teahouses and lodges, there are hot water showers available.

If such a facility is not available, the teahouse/lodges will give you with a hot water bucket.

Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

Representatives of Raconteur Adventure welcomes you at Tribhuvan International Airport. We will guide you through the cultural shock you encounter once coming outside of the airport. Then, we will assist you through check-in formalities in one of the star category hotels in Kathmandu. If you arrive early at the capital, you should engage in sightseeing of different religious, cultural even natural facets of Kathmandu.

Day 02

Ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 Km)

On this second day of the itinerary, we will ride to Pokhara. This whole bike ride will be done on Himalayan 500cc, Royal Enfield. After having a delicious breakfast in Kathmandu, we will start our ride to Pokhara. Pokhara is happening city and the entry point for conquering the Annapurna mountains. Ride to Pokhara is all satisfying. The freedom of bike ride also serves a clear view of landscapes, culture, flora, fauna, and many more. Overnight at a star hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03

Ride from Kathmandu to Kalopani (125 km)

We will start the day early. We are passing through the longest suspension bridge of Nepal at Kusma, and we will reach Kalopani riding through a rough and paved road. A bumpy ride commences from Beni. A breathtaking view of the Himalayas in the background accompanies your ride. Bank of the Gandaki river accompanies the ride with a mind-boggling view of waterfalls. Overnight at Guesthouse at Kalopani.

Day 04

Ride Kalopani to Muktinath and back to Kagbeni(65km)

We will start our day with a delicious breakfast at Kalopani. We will ride along the Kali Gandaki river amazing scenery of Annapurna Mountain unfolds. Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri are other mountains for your most entire satisfaction. Today, we travel to one of the holiest sites for Hindu, the Muktinath temple. Temple is at an altitude of 3800m. For a non-Hindu tourist, pagoda-style temples, monasteries, natural taps, huge barren landscapes are there to reward you with the most fulfilling experience. Another fascination not to miss is continuous burning fire from natural gas and the 108 sacred water taps. After visiting Muktinath, we will ride back to Kagbeni. Overnight at the guest house in Kagbeni.

Day 05

Ride Kagbeni to Ghami(07 hours)

On our day five of the itinerary, we will explore this fantastic typical village, Kagbeni. At the checkpoint, the necessary permits will be checked, and then our ride continues. We will ride to the town of Upper Mustang. We will pass through rocky trails observing the traditional Tibet culture through Chhunsang(2,950m), Chele, and Syanbochen. We will stay overnight at Ghami. On Ghami, we will watch and capture impressive clusters of the ancient cave with magical rock face across the river, Kali Gandaki.

Day 06

Ride from Ghami to Lo-Monthang (06 Hours)

Day 06 is the most important day of the trek as we will reach the journey’s primary destination. On our way to Lo-Monthang from Ghami, we will see the natural masterfulness. The panoramic view of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri with the longest mani wall of Ghami in this ride is all amazing. The lift passes through Tsarang village, and from the town, we will ride up to Ghar Gumba. Ghar Gumba is one of the oldest monasteries (8th century)

Day 07

Excursion of Lo-Monthang(3840m) on foot

Lo-Monthang unfolds with amazing barren landscapes in the hills and the base, and greenery is all satisfying. During the excursion of Lo-Monthang, you will see the oldest monasteries and Gumbas, engage in sightseeing of impressive colourful land structures. One of the sites to look for is the Chosar cave. Overnight at the guest house in Lo-Monthang

Day 08

Ride to Kora La (Tibetan Border) From Lo-Monthang and back.

On this day, eighth, we will travel to the Tibetan border, Kora La. This ride is just 20km from Lo-monthang. We will enjoy the views that Kora La offers, engage in sightseeing, photography and then ride back to Lo-Monthang. Overnight at the guest house in Lo-Monthang.

Day 09

Ride back to Gilling

We will ride back to Gilling from Lo-Monthang. Ride to Gilling is accompanied by the view of plateau land and Himalayan panorama during the daylight. Overnight at Guesthouse at Gilling.

Day 10

Ride back to Kagbeni

We will continue our ride back to Kagbeni. Upon reaching Kagbeni, we will explore Kagbeni and its different facets. Overnight stay at the guest house in Kagbeni.

Day 11

Ride back to Tatopani

The ride continues to reach Tatopani from Kagbeni. We will ride via Jomsom, Marpha, to get Tatopani. We will also bath at a natural hot spring that is believed to cure skin related diseases. Overnight at guesthouse/lodge at Tatopani.

Day 12

Ride back to Pokhara

We will ride back to Pokhara on day 12 of our itinerary. Pokhara has a lot in its bag. From sightseeing of natural and human-made beauty to fantastic nightlife, there are many things that Pokhara delivers right. Overnight at star category hotel in Pokhara.

Day 13

Ride back to Kathmandu

We ride back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Day 13 is the last day of this fantastic ride. We will leave Pokhara after having a late breakfast Pokhara. We will return to Kathmandu via Mugling. After you arrive at Kathmandu, hotel check-in and the rest of the time is all yours.

Farewell and Departure

On the last day of the itinerary, we will host a delightful farewell dinner and like to hear the stories you created during the journey and our feedback.

What physical requirements are there for the Upper Mustang Motorcycle Tour?

The Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour is for adventure seekers who are physically strong and have a good understanding of motorcycle riding.
Following Beni Bazar, the route becomes fully off-road, and you will ascend to a height of 4000 meters.
As a result, you should be in decent physical shape and have some riding experience before embarking on this expedition.

What kind of motorcycle is available?

We have 411 CC Royal Enfield Himalayan and 500 CC Royal Enfield classic motorcycles, both of which are quite powerful and comfortable for long journeys.
Please let us know which bike is most convenient for you.
If you require other brands of motorcycles, we can give them if they are accessible in Nepal. For this year's expedition, we've added 15 Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 CC bikes.

Is a license required to bike in Nepal?

Of course, you aren't a true rider if you don't have a license.
Before you arrive in Nepal, we'll need a copy of your passport and a copy of your driver's license, and then we'll make local permissions for your riding.

You don't need any previous Himalayan riding expertise, but you should be a skilled motorbike rider who can drive for a long distance on a Himalayan route

Is there a support van/truck available for the trip?

Yes, we provide a private support van/truck for your Mustang motorcycle trip.

Our assisting Van will transport all of your stuff and motorcycle spare components.

What about crews and guides?

Throughout the trip, a Road Captain/Chief Technician and a mechanic will be supplied.

In addition, for sightseeing of locations and monasteries, an expert English-speaking guide will be available.

When is the ideal time to go on a Mustang motorcycle tour?

From March to November, the weather in Mustang is ideal for travel.

Because Mustang sits in the rain shadow of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges, it never rains in June and July.

Mustang has snowfall and extremely cold temperatures throughout the winter month’s of December, January, and February.

What is the Visa application process and how much does a Visa cost?

What papers do I need to bring with me?

You can obtain a visa upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport. However, it would be more convenient if you complete the visa application online (https://online.nepalimmigration.gov.np/tourist-visa) before to flying to Nepal.

Fees for admission into Nepal are now $ 25 for a 15-day visa, $ 40 for a 30-day visa, and $ 100 for a three-month visa.

You should carry the following documents with you on your trip.

The passport must be valid for at least six months.

Definitely!
Customers who have booked a private trip for one of our packages can be picked up from the airport by Raconteur Adventure Team.

We do not charge a fee for our services.

What kind of lodging can I expect in Kathmandu and during the trip?

Kathmandu has a wide range of hotels, from inexpensive to luxury, including three-star accommodations.

Normally, our outline plan includes three hotel services from RACONTUER ADVENTURE
We can also make accommodations based on your preferences.

During your journey, you will stay at a teahouse/lodge that will give you with minimal hygienic facilities such as a mattress and a light blanket.
If needed, we may provide RACONTEUR ADVENTURE sleeping luggage (which must be returned after the trip), although it is usually preferable to have your own sleeping bag.

We generally have single and double rooms available.

Single accommodations are difficult to come by during high season, thus double rooms are advised in our basic itinerary.

How are the shower facilities in Mustang during the summer?

In most teahouses and lodges, there are hot water showers available.

If such a facility is not available, the teahouse/lodges will give you with a hot water bucket.

The cost of the shower must be paid by oneself, and it varies from place to place

What can I expect to eat throughout the trip?

The majority of Teahouse restaurants serve a delectable selection of largely vegetarian meals.
Pasta, Tuna Bakes, Noodles, Potatoes, Eggs, Dal-bhat, Bread, Soups, Fresh Vegetables (variety varies by season), and even sweets such as Apple Pies, Pancakes, and some unusual tries at Custard.

On the meal, there will be a lot of garlic; consume some every day to help with acclimatization.

Meat may be available on the menu in many of the bigger settlements.

Hot cocoa, tea, coffee, hot lemon, and soft drinks are constantly available.

Every day, supper and breakfast are served in the same lodge where you will be spending the night.

On the route to the destination, we'll stop for lunch.

What will the weather and temperature be like in Mustang?

The weather in the highlands is famously unpredictable.

The nights are generally bitterly cold, although the days are much milder.

Winter (January and February) will be cooler, but if the sun is shining, the days can be rather pleasant and warm.

During the months of January, February, and December, there will be some snowfall.

Inside the teahouses/lodges, the temperature is kept pretty consistent.

To keep oneself warm, you can always sit next to a fire.

During the day, the temperature might range from 20 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius.

Is it possible to connect to the internet in Mustang?

Yes, most locations in Upper Mustang now have internet connectivity.

There is Wi-Fi in Lo-mantnag where you may purchase an internet recharge card.

Mobile data is also available throughout the journey.

Is it possible to use my ATM and credit cards throughout my trip?

In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Jomsom, ATMs and credit cards are available.

Furthermore, you will require cash payments for a variety of services.

How much more cash do I require on a daily basis?

Lunch and supper in Kathmandu can set you back $ 10-15.

It all relies on how you spend your money.

In a bike trip, $15-$20 per day will suffice to purchase bottles of water, chocolate, and a few beverages

What is the state of the drinking water supply on the trek? Is it necessary for me to bring water purifiers?

Bottled water is widely accessible in most locations.

If you want to drink regular water, you'll need to use a purifying aid, and it's best if you have some on hand.

What facilities are available in the event of an emergency while on the trip?

If you have altitude sickness or any other concerns, we will provide you with the doctor's suggested medications based on the nature of your illness.

In the event of an emergency, we will descend and rescue you using a helicopter

Why is travel insurance required?

Travel insurance will be a lifesaver in the event of any mishaps, allowing you to recoup your losses.

In the event of a helicopter rescue, your insurance may be able to pay the cost of the helicopter, which is not cheap.

So it's a good idea to double-check your insurance's validity and policy to see if it covers rescue costs.

Are the employees of RACONTEUR ADVENTURE covered by insurance?
