But in the case of a cycling tour to Shivapuri, the cycle is your transport partner. We will start cycling uphill from Muhan Pokhari. Muhan Pokhari is the entrance point of Shivapuri Nagrajun National Park. There is an army checkpoint in Muhan Pokhari, where you and your belonging will be checked to ensure no such material enters the park that can potentially harm the nature inside.

 

After registration, check-up, the long and enthralling cycling trail waits ahead. It is almost 5 hours cycling to reach Mulkharka from Budanilkantha, and it is the uphill trail in this route. Starting from Muhan Pokhari, it will take 3 hours to get Tarebhir. Upon reaching Tarebhir, you need to go straight to reach Mulkharka. Taking left from Tarebhir will take you to the peak of Shivapuri, but mind you, there are no cycling trails here. But no worries, we do organize a Shivapuri Hiking package to explore this place on foot. Then, our cycling trail will continue to Sundarijal from Mulkharka. The path to Sundarijal is all downhill with one uphill and will take only 20 minutes to reach Sundarijal. We will gather at Budanilkantha before commencing our uphill cycling. After the rest of fewer than 20 minutes at Budanilkantha, our cycling begins.

From Budanilkantha, we will reach Muhan Pokhari after short cycling. Muhan Pokhari is the entry point to Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. You will encounter an army checkpoint here in Muhan Pokhari. From here, Tare Bhir is our destination.

Starting our cycling journey from Muhan Pokhari, we will be reaching Tarebhir at around 11:30 AM. Tarebhir will be our refreshment point where we will have breakfast or brunch, which included tea, eggs and other veggies.

After a short refreshment break, we will continue to Mulkharka. It will take almost three hours to reach Mulkharka. In this short cycling journey, we will be lucky as hundreds of flora and fauna accompanies you. Then there is the scenic view of Kathmandu valley from different viewpoints along the trail.

Time 02:00 PM

We will reach the base of Mulkharka at around 02:00 PM, and in this very spot, we will have our lunch.

Then at around 03:00 PM, we will initiate our cycling adventure towards Sundarijal from Mulkharka. From Mulkharka, it is downhill to Sundarijal. After a short break at Sundarijal, the cycling journey will pass through towns, villages, and cities until we meet at farewell point Bouddhanth/Lazimpat. Having cultural food, we will be more than happy to hear from you.
