On this first day, we will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Raconteur Adventure representative will welcome you and will drive you to hotel in or around Thamel. Day 02

Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Boudhnath Sightseeing. ON at Kathmandu.

We start our day with lavish breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu and commence our sightseeing tour for the day. Kathmandu is the city of temples and has seven UNESCO listed sites. On this second day, you will be exploring and experiencing self-rose temple, and monuments. We will start visiting Boudhnath which is just 5km east from Thamel. Then, we will visit Kathmandu/Basantapur Durbar Square which is in the heart of capital Kathmandu. This Durbar Square is full of wooden Newari crafts and preserved medieval stones and of course is the home to only living goddess. After lunch, we will drive to Swayambhunath and will visit the mystery of this amazing temple. After spending evening at Swoyabunath, we will drive to Kathmandu and spend Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03

Pashupatinath, Patan and Bhaktapur Sightseeing, Drive to Nagarkot.

We will visit the third eye of Lord Shiva, the Pashupatinath temple in the morning. We will do pooja if allowed, explore the area, play with monkeys, do photography in this holiest hindu temple. Pashupatinath temple lies beside the holy Bagmati river. The site to see for a touristic eye is the hindu cremation happening in the bank of Bagmati. Besides, this the structure is marvel on its own.  After visiting Pashupatinath, we will return back to hotel, have breakfast and again drive to Patan. Patan Durbar Square is beautiful full of art and artistry. There is Krishna temple which is noticeably the prominent site  to visit in Patan. After visiting Patan and having Lunch, we will drive to Bhaktapur(Bhadgaon). Bhaktapur is all appealing town full of Newari culture, music and art. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is central attraction of Newari town, Bhaktapur.  Bhaktapur is full of shikhara style temples, and has amazingly carved stones and wooden sculptures. Other significant sites are golden gate, 55 windows palace, pottery square and many more. As, we end our sightseeing tour, we will drive to Nagarktot hill to catch the sunset if time remains. Changunarayan Hike & drive to Kathmandu. ON at Kathmandu

You will start you day with amazing sunrise view over glittering mountains in Nagarkot and will hike to Changunarayan from Nagarkot. Changunarayan is 6 hours hike from Nagarkot. Changunarayan temple is one of the ancient temple in Nepal and has historic pillar erected in 464 AD. Different statues, monument as a whole is all amazing of this temple. After we visit Changunarayan temple, we will drive back to Kathmandu and you can spend time on your own. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 05

Bungmati and Khokana Sightseeing. ON at Kathmandu

Day fifth of the itinerary is also an amazing one. On this day, we will see different facets of Kathmandu. Yes there are UNESCO sites in Kathmandu, but beyond the listed sites, the city is rich and intriguing. We will explore ancient typical Newari Bungmati and Khokana village.  These villages still has traditional way of living and depends on agriculture. After seeing, taking some photographs and having Newari lunch, we will drive back to hotel and stay overnight. In the evening, we will host a farewell dinner so that we can hear your suggestion and reviews.

What is the Visa application process and how much does a Visa cost? Should we apply for the visa in our home country or at the airport in Nepal? What papers do I need to bring with me?

You can obtain a visa upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport; however, it would be more convenient if you complete the visa application online (http://online.nepalimmigration.gov.np/tourist-visa) prior to flying to Nepal. Fees for admission into Nepal are now $ 25 for a 15-day visa, $ 40 for a 30-day visa, and $ 100 for a three-month visa.

You should carry the following documents with you on your trip:
Passport must be valid for at least six months.
Before you begin the walk, you must present a copy of your travel insurance document to Raconteur Adventure.
Tickets for flights.

Day 01

Arrival at Kathmandu(1400m)

On this first day, we will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Raconteur Adventure representative will welcome you and will drive you to hotel in or around Thamel. As, you leave the airport, you are likely to encounter cultural shock, but our assistance in the vehicle will help you get more insights to mystic and old Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 02

Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Boudhnath Sightseeing. ON at Kathmandu.

We start our day with lavish breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu and commence our sightseeing tour for the day. Kathmandu is the city of temples and has seven UNESCO listed sites. On this second day, you will be exploring and experiencing self-rose temple, and monuments. We will start visiting Boudhnath which is just 5km east from Thamel. Then, we will visit Kathmandu/Basantapur Durbar Square which is in the heart of capital Kathmandu. This Durbar Square is full of wooden Newari crafts and preserved medieval stones and of course is the home to only living goddess. After lunch, we will drive to Swayambhunath and will visit the mystery of this amazing temple. After spending evening at Swoyabunath, we will drive to Kathmandu and spend Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03

Pashupatinath, Patan and Bhaktapur Sightseeing, Drive to Nagarkot.

We will visit the third eye of Lord Shiva, the Pashupatinath temple in the morning. We will do pooja if allowed, explore the area, play with monkeys, do photography in this holiest hindu temple. Pashupatinath temple lies beside the holy Bagmati river. The site to see for a touristic eye is the hindu cremation happening in the bank of Bagmati. Besides, this the structure is marvel on its own.  After visiting Pashupatinath, we will return back to hotel, have breakfast and again drive to Patan. Patan Durbar Square is beautiful full of art and artistry. There is Krishna temple which is noticeably the prominent site  to visit in Patan. After visiting Patan and having Lunch, we will drive to Bhaktapur(Bhadgaon). Bhaktapur is all appealing town full of Newari culture, music and art. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is central attraction of Newari town, Bhaktapur.  Bhaktapur is full of shikhara style temples, and has amazingly carved stones and wooden sculptures. Other significant sites are golden gate, 55 windows palace, pottery square and many more. As, we end our sightseeing tour, we will drive to Nagarktot hill to catch the sunset if time remains. Overnight at star category hotel in Nagarkot.

Day 04

Changunarayan Hike & drive to Kathmandu. ON at Kathmandu

You will start you day with amazing sunrise view over glittering mountains in Nagarkot and will hike to Changunarayan from Nagarkot. Changunarayan is 6 hours hike from Nagarkot. Changunarayan temple is one of the ancient temple in Nepal and has historic pillar erected in 464 AD. Different statues, monument as a whole is all amazing of this temple. After we visit Changunarayan temple, we will drive back to Kathmandu and you can spend time on your own. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 05

Bungmati and Khokana Sightseeing. ON at Kathmandu

Day fifth of the itinerary is also an amazing one. On this day, we will see different facets of Kathmandu. Yes there are UNESCO sites in Kathmandu, but beyond the listed sites, the city is rich and intriguing. We will explore ancient typical Newari Bungmati and Khokana village.  These villages still has traditional way of living and depends on agriculture. After seeing, taking some photographs and having Newari lunch, we will drive back to hotel and stay overnight. In the evening, we will host a farewell dinner so that we can hear your suggestion and reviews.

In order to participate in this Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour, what kind of shape do I need to be in?

This tour is appropriate for all ages, from children to the elderly. It is not essential to have any prior experience.

Will there be someone to meet me at the airport when I arrive?

Yes, you will be greeted by a Raconteur Adventure representative outside of Terminal Hall. He'll be holding your name on a Raconteur Adventure name card. After that, you will be taken to the hotel of your choice.

What is the Visa application process and how much does a Visa cost? Should we apply for the visa in our home country or at the airport in Nepal? What papers do I need to bring with me?

You can obtain a visa upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport; however, it would be more convenient if you complete the visa application online (http://online.nepalimmigration.gov.np/tourist-visa) prior to flying to Nepal. Fees for admission into Nepal are now $ 25 for a 15-day visa, $ 40 for a 30-day visa, and $ 100 for a three-month visa.

You should carry the following documents with you on your trip:
Passport must be valid for at least six months.
Before you begin the walk, you must present a copy of your travel insurance document to Raconteur Adventure.
Tickets for flights.
Numbers for T/bank, C's insurance, and family contacts in case of an emergency.

In this Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour, what kind of accommodations can I expect?

There are several hotel categories to choose from. It's all up to you. Our program includes three-star hotel accommodations for the duration of the trip. The hotels provide 24-hour hot and cold water, connected restrooms, dining areas, bars, internet access, and other amenities.

What can I expect to eat on the tour?

In Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Pokhara, and Lumbini, breakfast is usually offered. Restaurants serving Continental, Chinese, Mexican, and American food with some local characteristics may be found in many cities, and there is always a wide variety to select from.

What kind of travel do you employ?

We employ private vehicles, minibuses, vans, and land cruisers depending on the size of the gathering. We can carry you through Nepal's narrow roads since these little light vehicles are more nimble and adaptable.

What is the ideal time of year to go on this trip?

The optimum seasons for this excursion are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to December), when the weather is clear and pleasant. However, if you want to avoid the crowds and appreciate nature, this trip is also recommended during the winter months (January to February).

What is weather and temperature like?

It all depends on the time of year you're going; during the winter (mid-December to February), the nights are cooler and the days are warmer. The temperature might reach 22 degrees Celsius during the day and 4 degrees Celsius early in the morning and late at night.

From March through May, the weather is pleasant, albeit a little hot at times. This time of year, the average temperature is 25 degrees Celsius.

It is always warmer from September to early December, making this the ideal time to vacation. This time of year, the average temperature is 20 degrees Celsius.

Of sure, but don't forget to bring your adapters!

It should never be the goal of a vacation to arrive at the destination as fast as possible. We can add days to your tour at your request, with additional expenses for guides, hotels, and transportation.

What vaccinations will I require?

Although vaccines are not required for this journey, we recommend that you are protected against *diphtheria and tuberculosis, *hepatitis A, *hepatitis B, *malaria, typhoid, polio, and tetanus.
