Itinerary Overview

Trekking to Ghandruk commences from Kathmandu. On the first day, you will be observing different UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. On our second day, we will either fly or drive to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will check-in at Hotel in Pokhara and sort out necessary items to carry for the trek leaving other things in the hotel’s luggage room. Then, one hour drive from Pokhara will take you to Phedi, our start point for the walk. Starting our trek from Phedi, our destination for the day is Pothana.

One of the beautiful villages in this part is Dhampus, and this village lies on the way to Pothana. We will rest and relax for a short time at Dhampus and continue our ascending trek to Pothana. The third day of the Ghandruk trek is most important as you will reach Ghandruk on this very day. After having early breakfast, a slight ascend trek awaits ahead.

You will climb until Deurali, and after Deurali, a steep downward walk starts to get Tolkha, Landruk and Modi Khola River. After crossing an iron bridge of Modi Khola river, uphill ascend starts to Ghandruk. Arrival in Kathmandu, Overnight at Kathmandu

As you enter Kathmandu, you will see the beautiful view of the valley. Different scenes unfold from your aeroplane seat. Day 02

Explore Kathmandu

On our second day of the trek, we see, observe and experience Kathmandu up-close. Out of many fascinations of Kathmandu, the climate it serves stands over the top. No winters and summers are extreme here. You can engage in sightseeing tours to three durbar squares, religious, cultural and architectural and other mastery of works. Day 03

Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, drive to Phedi and trek to Pothana.

You will be dropped at Domestic Airport to catch the flight to Pokhara after having a delicious meal at Kathmandu or Nagarkot. Nagarkot is just 1.5 hours’ drive from Kathmandu. After arrival at Pokhara Airport, you will be picked up in SUVs and driven to Phedi. Phedi is the starting point of the trek. The trail ascends, granting you a peaceful view of rhododendron, oak, sandalwood, magnolia and pine forests till we reach Dhampus. Dhampus is an affluent village of the Gurung community. Dhampus is also the village to engage in beautiful sightseeing of snow-capped glittering mountains, Annapurna and Lamjung.

Day 04

Trek from Pothana to Ghandruk

Day four is the most important day of our hike as we will reach Ghandruk on this very day. Starting early to trek from Pothana, the first one hour of the walk ascends until reaching Deurali. From Deurali, the trail will follow through lush forests, and accompanying will be the mind-boggling view of Annapurna, Manaslu and Mardi Himal. Once we leave Deurali, the trek descends to reach Tolkha. Tolkha is enriching village of Gurungs. Then, we will trek downhill furthermore to reach Landruk from Tolkha. Then, from Landruk, a continuous downward walk follows until reaching Modi Khola River. After crossing Modi Khola, the trekking trail demands you to ascend steep uphill to reach Ghandruk. Ghandruk serves a magnificent view of panoramic mountains with the soulful hospitality of Gurungs. Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara from Nayapul.

After having early morning breakfast at Ghandruk, we will start trekking to Nayapul. This trail to Nayapul passes through small villages and beautiful rice fields. After you arrive in Nayapul, you will be picked up in SUVs and driven to Pokhara. After arriving in Pokhara, there are plenty of activities for you to see and experience. You can hit local bars and clubs, engage in sightseeing of the most beautiful sites here or stroll around Fewa Lake. The choice is all yours.
