Itinerary Overview of Gosaikunda Trek

The first day will include your arrival at Kathmandu and settling in a star category hotel in Kathmandu. You can spend the rest of the time on your own, or you can engage in sightseeing of Thamel, Swambhunath, and Pashupatinath. We will drive to Dhunche from Kathmandu after having breakfast at the hotel. Reaching Dhunche via road takes about 5-6 hours. Arrival at Kathmandu

The flight to Kathmandu is fulfilling with a fantastic view of mountains, terrace farms and the city areas. After going through the immigration formalities, Raconteur Adventure welcomes you at the airport and drives you to your hotel. Day 02

Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche(1960m)

After getting early, we will drive from Kathmandu to reach our destination for the day, Dhunche. Travel time is about five to six-hour, and as the journey progresses in the vehicle, altitude gain also increases. In this journey, the first part involves reaching Trishuli Bazaar. Road to Trishuli Bazaar is smooth. Leaving Trishuli Bazaar, the street to Dhunche is all graveled.

Day 03

Drive – 7-8 hours

After having breakfast at Dhunche, our trekking starts for the day. The hike for the first few hours is straight, and after passing the town and taking a side trail to the side of mountains, the track is all ascending. This hiking is uphill, and we will hike slowly for almost five hours. We will stop for lunch at the Sing Gompa. Sing Gompa is the valley of yak, and yak cheese farm is the must-see place here. Trek from Dhunche to Sing Gompa(3330m)

We will trek to reach Lauribina on day four of the itinerary. After breakfast, the trail ascends. The Trek is relatively short, but as the trail climbs, the altitude rises too, so we will keep our hiking pace steady and slow. We will follow the rocky path as the magical view of Himal Chuli(7893m), Manaslu range(8156m), the Ganesh Himal range(7406m), Langtang Lirung(7227m) unfolds for you. Annapurna range too can be seen on a clear sky day. After reaching lauribina in about 04 hours, we will settle in the lodge at Lauribina, appreciating the view this place serves. Trek- 6-7 hours

Day five is the biggest day of our Trek as on this very day, and you will have the chance to be involved in the playful act of mother nature. Gosaikunda lake is just a 3-4 hours hike from Lauribina. If the time and weather favour, we will hike one more hour from the lake to reach Laurebina Pass at altitude 4600m. From the pass, you can immerse in the blissful view of the mountain more closely. But, if you don’t want to reach Laurebina pass, Gosaikunda Lake doesn’t disappoint either. Overnight at Gosaikunda.

Trek from Sing Gompa to Lauribina(3920m)

From day 06, we will retrace our trail, at least for this day. We will reach Sing Gompa from Gosaikunda, which is almost 4.5 hours of hiking. The trail descends, making the hike easier as altitude falls. You can enjoy cheese at Sing Gompa. Overnight at Sing Gompa.

What level of fitness is necessary to climb Langtang Gosaikunda?

This walk is doable for someone with ordinary fitness. If no preparation has been done before the walk, the first few days may feel challenging. However, you will quickly become accustomed to trudging up and down slopes.

Is it the same trip as the Langtang and Tamang heritage trails?

The Tamang Heritage Trail is a more extended variant of the Langtang Trek. A Tamang heritage trip takes you through a rural, non-touristy Tamang village where traditional culture is practised rather than tourism. Compared to a conventional tea house hike along this path, trekkers may expect more modest facilities.
