Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay was the first person to climb the summit of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953.

1) Renjo la pass 5360m

2) Chola pass

Chola pass is the cross path up to Mount Everest and Kala Patthar for the best view of Mount Everest or to see Khumbu icefall.

3) Kongmala pass:

Kongmala pass is the Highest passes among these passes. The view from here is impressive. Also, these leads to the trail that descends towards Dingboche and Tengboche.

Kanchanjunga

Elevation 8586m/28769ft

Kanchanjunga is the second-highest mountain in Nepal and the Third Highest Mountain in the World, which lies in the easternmost part of Nepal, bordering India. Once thought it was the highest mountain in the World.

Lhotse

Elevation: 8516m/27940

Lhotse is the third highest mountain in Nepal. This mountain shares the same climbing route as mount Everest up to camp 3. Mount Lhotse Comprises of two peaks, Lhotse middle and Lhotse Shar.

Makalu, Mountains in Nepal

Makalu is the fourth highest mountain in Nepal and fifth-highest Mountain in the World. It is also the most challenging mountain to climb due to its steep pitches and knife-like edge and ridges. Nag Chepal was the first person to climb the summit of this mountain in 1955, May 15.

Cho Oyu

Elevation: 8201m/26906

Mount Cho yu is the 6^th highest mountain in the World and the 5^th highest mountain in Nepal. It is known as the easiest among 8000m peaks. It is located at the border of Tibet and Nepal, and it shares the base camp from both sides of China and India.

Dhaulagiri

Dhaulagiri is the sixth Highest Mountain in Nepal and the 7^th Highest Mountain in the World. The Dhaulagiri lies in the western region of Nepal.

Manaslu

Elevation: 8156m/26759ft

Mount Manaslu has become the preliminary mountain and has gained popularity for climbing 8000m peaks.

Mount Manaslu first summit was recorded by the Japanese and Sherpa Climber in 1956, May 9 by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu.

Annapurna

Mount Annapurna was the first peak to be climbed by Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal in 1950 on June 3. Mt Annapurna is one of the most dangerous mountains among the heights of 8000m peak. This cycling tour itinerary of Raconteur Adventure is a half-day cycling experience getting to some of the holiest places on earth, one of Hinduism and another of Buddhism. The temple of Pashupatinath is the most spiritual temple on earth as the third eye of Shiva is celebrated here. And the Boudhanath resembles the same life living pattern by enlightening inner you.

In this Kathmandu Heritage Cycling Tour, we got to see amazing art, the architecture of stone and wood, the Hindu cremation process, and one of the largest dome-shaped stupa in South Asia. Kathmandu itself is a beautiful city with the tag of, “City of temples”. Cycling in Kathmandu simply is a joyous experience and out of the whole of Kathmandu, Pashupatinath and Bouddhath are a major attraction. So, we designed a half-day cycling itinerary.

In this itinerary, we start cycling from Siphal, a big playground for outdoor activities to Pashupatinath temple. This is short cycling of just 15 minutes. We park our cycle and then visit the premises of Pashupatinath temple for 30-40 minutes. Then, we will have a tea break before walking to Guheyashwori and again cycling to Boudhanath for 20 minutes. The cycling ends with breakfast at Boudhanath terrace restaurant.
